Job Role : Engineering Process Project Engineer

GCB Cocoa UK is a Chocolate and Cocoa processor based in Suffolk and are currently seeking an Engineering Process Project Engineer to join the team. This varied role will part of the engineering team who are in the process of developing a site into a food production factory. The role compromises of varied work packages and would suit someone who can work between Project Managing, Process investigations and hands on work. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Some of the key responsibilities:

  • Managing Projects and improvements. Being part of a team developing the site from both as production and site services point of view.
  • To work alongside production process Engineers in identifying and implementing process improvements on existing and new production equipment and lines.
  • To be part of the Engineering department understanding, identifying, and implementing site services equipment and improvements.
  • To carry out investigations into production and site services issues and concerns.
  • To be involved in factory & process line layouts.
  • Creating / updating Standard Operating Procedures for engineering tasks as well as production tasks.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Hands on Mechanical, and or Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience in AutoCAD or similar engineering drawing packages.
  • PLC & SCADA experience would be beneficial.
  • Must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft office and in particular, have good experience in the use of Excel.
  • Must be honest reliable and a self-starter – able to work alone or as part of a team.

Vertically integrated supply chain servicing a new Purpose Built Facility with a traditional liquid manufacturing process and a notable range of solid chocolate options. Fully segregated dairy free dark production line for a range of both solid and liquid chocolates.

A cocoa processing facility is planned on the same site with operations starting in 2024. Future expansions for both chocolates and semi finished to follow.
