Job Role : Chocolate Manufacturing Process Operator

GCB Cocoa UK is a Chocolate and Cocoa processor based in Suffolk who are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Production Operators to assist with our new chocolate production facility.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Handling Ingredients on an industrial scale for the purpose of chocolate manufacturing
  • Learn new skills to manufacture Chocolate in a purpose-built facility.
  • Operate depositing lines to produce Solid Chocolate for remelting, recipe inclusions and decorations.
  • Packaging Storage and distribution responsibilities.
  • Maintaining clear records for production in line with BRC and Customer requirements
  • Maintaining high levels of hygiene in line with Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Working closely with Operational, logistics and Hygiene teams to maximise production efficiency
  • Upholding exceptional Health and Safety standards within the manufacturing environment.
  •  Comprehensive training to take part in formal chocolate tasting panels
  • Build a comprehensive knowledge of ingredients and processes required to meet customer specifications.



  • Ability to follow written instructions and perform basic calculations
  • Computer literate
  • Flexible working approach (shift patterns)
  • Conscientious and attention to detail


  • Food Manufacturing Experience
  • Basic Food Hygiene qualification
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Experience of working with chocolate

The ideal candidate will be a team player as well as self-motivated who carries out their duties to a high standard with confidence, honesty, and passion. Training for the use of essential specialist equipment will be conducted during the probationary period.

This can be a physically demanding role and should be taken into consideration by all applicants.

Vertically integrated supply chain servicing a new Purpose Built Facility with a traditional liquid manufacturing process and a notable range of solid chocolate options. Fully segregated dairy free dark production line for a range of both solid and liquid chocolates.

A cocoa processing facility is planned on the same site with operations starting in 2024. Future expansions for both chocolates and semi finished to follow.
