Welcome to GCB Cocoa UK, where we bring decades of expertise in the chocolate and cocoa sector. Our journey began in the 1980s, primarily focused on cocoa bean trading. In 1985, Guan Chong Berhad laid the foundation for the GCB Cocoa Group.
In 1991, GCB made its initial investment in a Malaysian cocoa processing facility in Pasir Gudang, Johor. Today, GCB COCOA stands as Asia’s foremost cocoa processor, specializing in the production of cocoa-based food ingredients such as cocoa mass, cocoa butter, cocoa cake, and cocoa powder.
The Favorich brand originated in 1995, and a decade later, it ventured into the US market with the acquisition of Carlyle Cocoa. Expanding its reach, Favorich established a presence in Indonesia and Singapore in 2010.
In 2020, GCB made its debut in the chocolate industry by acquiring the well-established Schokinag-Schokolade Industrie chocolate factory. Additionally, it secured a new facility in the UK for chocolate manufacturing and cocoa processing. The remarkable Ivory Coast cocoa processing plant reached completion in 2022, marked by a grand opening ceremony in 2023.

The newly formed GCB Cocoa UK team brings together extensive experience in chocolate and cocoa production, sales, and technical know-how.
Operating within a vertically integrated supply chain, we serve from our Purpose Built Facility, which features a traditional liquid manufacturing process alongside a diverse selection of solid chocolate offerings. Notably, we have a fully segregated dairy-free chocolate production line catering to both solid and liquid chocolate varieties.
Further expansions are on the horizon, encompassing both chocolates and semi-finished products.
